Immersive learning with virtual reality hub
If we want to prepare our students for the workplace of the future, we need to engage with new ways of communicating, collaborating and learning, and integrate them in language education in safe ways.
Nergiz Kern
I started exploring virtual reality in 2008, and did so intensively until 2012. I decided to devote more time to it again in 2020 because of its potential for improving the online learning experience for language learners and teachers. I then worked as Research Manager and then Head of Research at Immerse, the first virtual reality platform for English language teaching that then became the first VR language immersion program with live Guide-led language classes. Now, I work independently again.
